Ekaterina Shalel Essays
For founders and experts

You are already being read

Every day someone asks ChatGPT about your market, and the answer either includes you or it doesn't. The only question is what the models say. That is now measurable.

Legibility Audit · Ekaterina Shalel

Most founders have never seen what AI actually says about them. It is rarely nothing. It is usually something outdated, incomplete, or borrowed from a competitor's narrative: an old bio still winning retrieval, a role you left years ago, a description written by someone else's positioning.

I ran this exact protocol on myself first: four models, two languages, a frozen baseline, documented interventions, re-measurement on the same query set. The methodology is published as the Legibility Sprint. The Audit is me running it on you.

Ground truth on a date, and the levers that move it.

What you get

1

Baseline snapshotWhat GPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini say about you today, against a fixed query set: identity queries, category queries, recommendation queries. In up to two languages. Transcripts, date, model versions: all documented.

2

Source mapWhere each answer comes from: which pages models cite, which outdated artifact still wins retrieval, where the gaps are. The answer to why the model says what it says.

3

Gap analysisYour canonical sentence across surfaces, structured data, entity records, profile consistency: checked against the full Sprint protocol, by me instead of by you.

4

ScorecardFour axes: recognition, accuracy, attribution, recommendability. A number you can re-measure against.

5

30-day planPrioritized: what to fix first for the fastest shift, what can wait, what is not worth doing. Execution is yours, with the Sprint, or mine, in a separate engagement.

Format and price

$290. PDF report plus a 30-minute video walkthrough. Five working days from the moment I have your inputs. One entity per audit: a founder and their company are two entities. Optional control measurement after 30 days (+$90): the same query set, re-run and documented, your before and after.

What this cannot guarantee

No ranking promises. Models update weekly, and anyone promising you positions inside AI answers is selling astrology. An audit is a snapshot: ground truth on a stated date, with market, language and test-set qualifiers, and the levers that move it. That is what an audit is, and that is why it is trustworthy.

Questions

How is this different from the Sprint?

The Sprint is self-serve: you run the seven days yourself from the guide. The Audit is done for you: I run the measurement on your name and hand you the findings and the plan. Many people run the Audit first to see the gap, then execute with the Sprint.

What do you need from me to start?

Your name variants and languages, your current surfaces (site, profiles, publications), and the markets you care about. One short intake form; the rest is my work.

I represent a brand, not a person

Then you want the Brand Legibility Diagnostic: the same methodology applied to a brand entity and its commercial queries.
